Dallas-based Novatae Risk Management, part of World Insurance Associates, has purchased Ajax Specialty Insurance, a wholesaler based in Atlanta.
Andy Bierbaum is the owner of Ajax. He founded the company in 2012 and in 2018 brought in co-owner and partner Karen Kutger, the companies said in a news release. The Ajax webpage notes that it provides access to non-admitted markets and assists with client meetings, proposals, coverage comparisons, and marketing and servicing of clients’ professional liability, management liability, and technology/cyber liability accounts.
Novatae said it is a wholesale brokerage, managing general agency and program manager, providing brokers with specialty insurance products for complex and hard-to-place risks in property, casualty, workers’ compensation, cyber, professional, management, construction, environmental, garage, inland marine/ocean marine, contingency and other areas. Novatae has some 6,000 clients and 27 offices across the United States.
