ICW Group Insurance Companies announced it has named its longtime workers’ compensation underwriting chief as vice president and head of distribution and marketing as the group expands into excess and surplus lines.
Rob deViere will be based out of ICW’s Florida office in Lake Mary, the company said. ICW Group is a national property and casualty insurer and group of carriers, including Insurance Company of the West, Explorer Insurance Co. and VerTerra Insurance.
DeViere has been with ICW for more than 12 years. He started as a branch manager, leading workers’ comp business in Florida and most recently served as VP for national workers’ compensation underwriting.
DeViere also is vice chair of the Board of Directors for the National Workers’ Compensation Reinsurance Association; is a member of the Board of Governors for the Florida Workers’ Compensation Joint Underwriting Association; chair of the Missouri Aggregate Excess of Loss Mechanism; and sits on the board of the Florida Workers’ Compensation Insurance Guaranty Association.
