DataQuick Enhances XML Real Property Data Offering

April 3, 2001

San Diego-based DataQuick, a subsidiary of MacDonald Dettwiler which delivers real property data in XML format, announced the enhancement of its XML-formatted data offering.

DataQuick customers are now able to send data queries to DataQuick in an XML format and receive back XML-formatted (bi-directional XML) DataQuick real property information. Among DataQuick’s enhanced XML reports are Property Profile Reports, Sales Comparables and Property History Reports.

As a provider of U.S. property information to the real estate, title, mortgage, appraisal and insurance industries, DataQuick claims the distinction of being the first company in its field to offer real property data online and to align with third-party vendors to increase geographic and value-added scope. MacDonald Dettwiler is an information company that provides key information for decision making in the workplace from anywhere in the world.

The company operates its business through two principal groups: the Information Products Group and the Information Systems Group.

“Providing this enhanced XML deliverable not only affords our customers the critical flexibility they need in today’s marketplace, it positions DataQuick and its products as some of the most effective solutions for today’s tech-savvy land and property professionals,” stated DataQuick President Mike Ela. “Our customers can now create their own applications that communicate directly with our data stores and obtain data seamlessly, delivering the data their clients demand. This is a formidable step in our plans to expand our presence in the B2B e-marketplace.”
