ConfirmNet Welcomes New CEO

San Diego-based ConfirmNet™ Corporation, the developer of CertificatesNow, a web-based certificate of insurance process, announced the hiring of Mark Oemcke as CEO. Craig Irving, interim CEO since June 2000, will resume his position as Chairman of ConfirmNet’s Board of Directors.

Prior to joining ConfirmNet, Oemcke held the position of senior vice president/chief administrative officer at LPL Financial Services, the largest independent securities broker/dealer in the U.S. His responsibilities included implementation of major infrastructure development projects such as the conversion of the firm’s operations to self-clearing.

Oemcke holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses as a registered broker. His background also includes five years with Scripps Bank in Southern California where he held progressively responsible positions culminating in the role of SVP/CFO. Oemcke began his career with Price Waterhouse, working primarily in California and Zurich, Switzerland. He earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant in 1984.

Based in San Diego, ConfirmNet is a business-to-business application service provider linking insurance providers with their customers. ConfirmNet’s flagship service, CertificatesNow, allows agents, brokers, carriers and their customers to securely and conveniently create, deliver and manage certificates from any Internet-connected personal computer. Certificates of insurance can be sent via electronic fax, e-mail or U.S. Mail – individually or en masse with batch delivery. Insured customers can even prepare their own certificates of insurance.
