Anderson & Murison Teams Up with singleentry.com

August 14, 2001

Anderson & Murison, a California-based managing general agency, has implemented singleentry.com’s technology to web-enable two key insurance programs, Commercial Casualty and Personal Umbrella.

Through its snakefeet subsidiary, singleentry.com provided 103 distinct main street business rating engines for Anderson & Murison’s commercial package policy. Agents select from the list of programs, answer rating questions and submit an application directly to Anderson & Murison. The singleentry.com engine filters the applications against Anderson & Murison’s underwriting guidelines. Acceptable risks are provided quotes instantaneously. If the filtering process rejects a risk, the agent is notified immediately.

For Anderson & Murison’s Personal Umbrella program, agents from across the country have username/password-controlled access to the site. The agent provides the underwriting information and submits it to Anderson & Murison, the singleentry.com engine automatically filters the application against Anderson & Murison’s underwriting guidelines, and if the application does not meet the guidelines, it is rejected. If it passes the underwriting guidelines, the singleentry.com engine rates the application in real time, returning an instant quote to the retail agent.

“By implementing the singleentry.com application to automate our insurance workflow, we have effectively boosted our capacity to acquire and service more business than would be possible had we continued to manually process this business,” stated Horst Lechler, president of Anderson & Murison.

Anderson & Murison has placed specialty coverages for more than 30 years, offering admitted and approved non-admitted insurers. Except for the National Personal Umbrella Program, Anderson & Murison places only California-domiciled insurers.

Based in Austin, Texas, singleentry.com is a web-based data collection, submission and filtering insurance platform that streamlines back-office processing and communications between insurance carriers, agencies, brokerage firms and consumers. The singleentry.com engine is a hosted application that provides real-time underwriting filters and data transmission in a variety of formats. The company provides private labeling of its engine, specialty insurance rating products, and customized insurance workflow solutions.
