California Insurance Commissioner Harry Low announced the appointment of James Johnson to his executive team Nov. 7.
Johnson was appointed the new Deputy Commissioner of the Consumer Services and Market Conduct Branch. Johnson has more than 23 years of management experience, including his most recent service as the Chief of the Administration Section, Operations Support Division with the Employment Development Department.
Johnson is taking the helm at a juncture when the Consumer Services and Market Conduct Branch begins implementation of a restructuring plan that has been in development for eight months.
