CDS Business Mapping, a source for online hazard mapping, has launched its Wildfire Hazard Model for California.
The new service allows property insurers to perform brushfire lookups quickly and accurately, saving time and money, while limiting their exposure to devastating fire claims. CDS uses state-of-the-art mapping technology to create digital maps, which classify vegetation by burn potential. The hazard model separates the vegetation into four classes, ranging from extremely low to extremely high.
“Our new Wildfire Hazard Model is going to revolutionize the way property insurers identify areas that are susceptible to wildfires,” Dan Munson, vice president of sales and marketing, said. “With a few clicks of a mouse, insurers can identify properties throughout California that are at risk. It is quick, easy, and accurate.”
The new wildfire data is accessible through the company’s online risk mapping tool, www.RiskMeter.com. The data compliments the Renie Ad Map, Bates and SRA data currently available through the RiskMeter Online.
