In its second-quarter review of more than 35 fund companies, SAFECO Mutual Funds earned National Quality Review’s (NQR) “Best-In-Class” ranking for telephone service quality. Additionally, it received NQR’s “5-star” rating for telephone service quality, which indicates top-quartile performance for the 12-month period ending June 30, 2002.
Under NQR’s telephone service criteria, calls are reviewed for the quality of the greeting, presentation and closing; the ability of representatives to answer questions, and provide accurate and complete information; the length of hold times and number of transfers; and the overall manner of the representative.
“This is a vigorous, ongoing testing process,” Linda Mahaffey, vice president of SAFECO Mutual Funds, said. “To be ranked ‘Best-In-Class’ above such a quality group of peers is no small accomplishment.”
