Jim Shea has joined Acordia of California as vice president of its Construction Industry Division. Shea is a surety specialist with 16 years of insurance brokerage experience.
He began his insurance career as a Surety Underwriter at Chubb (San Francisco), subsequently served as Surety Manager of a prominent insurance brokerage firm (San Francisco Peninsula), and just prior to joining Acordia had established himself as a successful surety producer. Prior to entering the insurance field, his public accounting experience included employment by Touche Ross & Co. and S.J. Gallina & Co., a regional CPA firm located in Walnut Creek, Calif. and specializing in the construction industry.
