May 12, 2003

Thomas Hays, chairman of the board for United Agencies, announced that effective May 15, Premier Class Insurance Services, Inc. of Encino, Calif., is coming aboard as their newest member group.

Premier Class Insurance Services, Inc., a partnership, writes commercial lines, property, general liability, auto, workers’ compensation and BOPs. In addition to wholesale distributors, they write many retail and service firms in the Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura areas.

The partners, Nora Wolkoff and Renae Krim, CIC, will maintain their current offices in Encino and add the United Agencies (www.unitedagencies.com) name to theirs. Their administrative/support staff will remain intact.

As senior vice president, operating officer and co-founder of Premier Class Insurance Services, Inc., Krim began her insurance career in 1973 as a policy typist/commercial insurance rater in Denver, Colorado, with Western Insurance Company. Eventually settling in Los Angeles in 1986, Krim worked on the retail side as a customer service representative marketing commercial lines business.

In 1992, she joined Wheatman Insurance Services’ commercial insurance division and met Wolkoff. She and Wolkoff left in 2000 to form their partnership – Premier Class Insurance Services, Inc.

As chairman and co-founder of Premier Class Insurance Services, Inc., Wolkoff entered the insurance business in 1985 as a property/casualty account administrator with Johnson & Higgins of California.

While working with J&H Casualty Dept., she developed the agency’s statistical unit for workers’ compensation business and other casualty lines for their Fortune 500 companies/clients. That led to several other positions at large brokers and eventually, in 1996, Wolkoff joined Wheatman Insurance Services as a producer where she met Krim.
