In response to Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau (WCIRB) correspondence, the WCIRB has been notified by Legion Insurance Company and Villanova Insurance Company, both of which are in rehabilitation by the Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner, that the unit statistical data being submitted is either incomplete or inaccurate.
In view of this information and the WCIRB’s concern regarding the accuracy of the data that has been submitted, the WCIRB has suspended, until further notice, the promulgation and issuance of experience ratings based upon unit statistical data submitted by these companies after May 22, 2003.
The WCIRB is working with representatives of Legion and Villanova to determine whether complete and accurate unit statistical data will be forthcoming at a later date.
