Marshall & Swift /Boeckh, a leading worldwide provider of residential and commercial cost data, technology and services for the property insurance and industry, announced the appointment of Shelton Shugar as vice president and chief technology officer. In his new role, Shugar is responsible for product development, product delivery and technology infrastructure.
“The Internet has become the data and technology delivery medium of choice,” said Bob Dowdell, CEO of Marshall & Swift L.P., MS/B’s parent company. “Shelton’s expertise in Internet technology and communications infrastructure is invaluable as we continue to build upon our successful Internet platform, MS/B EXPRESS.”
Shugar will be located at Marshall & Swift’s Los Angeles office. He has held the chief technology officer position at Homestore, was vice president of engineering at Verisign and also held senior-level positions at The Thompson Corporation and AOL.
