Farmer’s insurance can’t compete with Allstate in Texas, either, but neither can State Farm.

Many people went with the lowest price and cheap Homeowners insurance companies back in 1994. Everything was great until the EQ hit. To this day many people who thought that they had proper coverage and did not need the help of a professional in the insurance field have never recovered from the earthquake losses they incurred. ! People think that they can get value for nothing. Maybe we should all need to go out and get Yugo’s to drive. Oh I forgot they are no longer in business. Wonder if the peopel who bought Yugo’s can get parts to repair their cheap car?

Good, maybe State Farm will go back to concentrating on personal lines and leave the commercial lines alone. They jumped into the CA market for WC with low teaser rates, and now I hear they are raising their rates becuase they “suddenly realized” they were too low. I hear a backlash coming from this by State Farm policyholders who are expecting rate decreases in WC not rate increases.

Now SF’s rates will only be 20% higher than everyone elses with this reduction. What a crock.
