When I do peer reviews and IME’s I am amazed at how many times the allegedly injured passenger is not on the police crash report, especially when the report shows that the officer was on scene within 5 minutes of the accident, not long enough for wandering off.
I always comment in my reports that it has not been shown that the person was in the accident, but don’t know how the insurance company handles this very common situation.
Did she receive only medical benefit? I’m surprised that they didn’t mention anything about attorney.
Why must insurance carriers pay out without
investigating ???
