California-based The Harry W. Gorst Co. and Compass Insurance Group of Agencies Inc., announced the hiring of Evon Rios as a broker and will be situated in the San Diego area.
This year, Rios celebrated 21 years in the insurance industry. She began her career at a large wholesale operation as a clerk and moved along perfecting her skills specific to professional liability. In addition to time spent on the wholesale side of the industry, she has worked in a retail agency and was an underwriter at Coregis Inc. for six years. For the past 7 ½ years, she has been at KFIS Inc. in San Diego, Calif.
A self starter, Rios will be responsible for increasing business, new and renewal, specifically in the Professional Liability arena. In addition to the usual E&O, D&O and EPLI coverages, Rios is also skilled in medical malpractice and will be a great asset to the Compass and Gorst agents throughout California.
