The California Insurance Wholesalers Association (CIWA) recently agreed to donate $600 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in the wake of the tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia.
Incoming CIWA President Mark Maucere noted that, “CIWA typically rewards the top three foursomes (golfing event) at their Wholesaler Industry Day. Due to the poor weather, not all the golfers were able to golf and some finished while others did not. Therefore, Hank Haldeman and the Board decided it would be best that we send the reward money to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for the tsunami victims.”
