Woodruff-Sawyer & Co., one of the largest independent insurance brokers in the nation, announced that Priya Cherian Huskins has been named a Partner with the firm.
Huskins joined the firm’s Directors & Officers Liability Practice in 2003, and since then has been an integral part of growing the practice and helping counsel clients on corporate governance issues. Huskins also often speaks at seminars on D&O insurance issues and authored a recent piece on D&O liability insurance in the “IPO Handbook,” published by Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Prior to joining Woodruff-Sawyer, Huskins practiced corporate and securities law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she worked with public and private technology companies through all stages of development. She has advised clients on public disclosure compliance and corporate governance issues, as well as equity compensation and employment matters. In addition, she has been actively involved in numerous IPOs and M&A transactions.
“Priya’s expertise in corporate governance and securities law matters has been an invaluable resource for our organization and our clients. They have come to rely upon her sound judgment and in-depth knowledge. Her appointment as Partner is a well-deserved acknowledgment of all her contributions to the firm,” stated Judy Roberts, Woodruff-Sawyer’s D&O Practice Leader.
