I’m visiting from the UK and today’s was my first quake. I was sitting on the beach at Dana Point and there was no mistaking the event! People nearby who were standing or walking did not feel it. The life guard said he thought the wind had moved his hut, but everyone who was seated felt it. An exciting moment. I wonder if there will be more this week?
I have been forecasting large seismic events on my websites for 10 years. I extract data from the daily NCODA sea surface temprature maps at the US Navy’s FNMOC center in Monterey, CA. My wife and I visited the FNMOC and discussed my process with them in 1996. They said since their data had a 30% error rate at the time that they could not endorse my process but that they would visit my website every day on the QT. I was also asked to make my data available to the Mexican Naval Command and did so earlier this year. There is a REALLY BIG event building in the northeast Pacific according to my data…. I have accurately forecast the Sumatran Quake, and the two quakes in California this week among a LONG LONG list of others over the last 10 years. See our website and see for yourself…. We cannot get USGS to listen…. Scroll down the page to see the archived forecast maps….
>I work at Disney Feature Animation. I was in the Recording Room in the Lower Level when the room started churning like a wave. I liked the feel of it.
Are you going to make a Disney ride out of it? LOL.

Actually, the 7.4 quake hit on Tuesday night, not last weekend. Just thought I’d clarify.
