As part of State Fund’s ongoing educational program to create safe workplaces and update employers on new workers’ compensation insurance rules, its Oxnard District Office will hold a free safety seminar on Nov. 16th. The seminar will offers ways State Fund policyholders can implement new safety programs or improve on already existing programs.
Featured speakers include: Cal/OSHA consultant Herman Jett; safety and health expert James Boretti and attorney Lisa Prince who is a workers’ compensation and safety regulations expert.
Some of the seminar’s topics include: setting safety and health goals; aligning safety with corporate objectives; preparing employers for OSHA inspection; and enabling employers to evaluate the hidden costs of risk of an OSHA citation.
The seminar runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will be held at the Ventura Beach Marriott Hotel located at 2055 Harbor Boulevard, Ventura, CA. Registration and complimentary continental breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. To register by phone please call (805) 988-5249.
