Insurance Skills Center will be offering Broker-Agent Disclosure Classes beginning in January.
The class will be taught by Steve Young, vice president and counsel general for IBA West. He will provide broker-agents with the results of legal research prepared by Keker & VanNest summarizing existing duties of disclosure, surveying the mistakes agents and brokers have made that resulted in the imposition of expanded liability, and reviewing current litigation pending in California against agents and brokers involving disclosure issues.
Young also will analyze the IBA West Guide to Disclosure, which provides information and sample disclosure clauses that can be adapted by agents and brokers to eliminate, or minimize, the potential legal threats they face in disclosure litigation.
Classes will be offered throughout California beginning in January. For more information and to download the brochure, visit www.insuranceskillscenter.com.
