NAS Adds HMOs to Coverage, Promotes Two Underwriters

Encino, Calif.-based NAS Insurance Services has added health maintenance organizations (HMOs) to the eligible classes of its managed care E&O/D&O/EPLI insurance coverage. Other eligible classes include medical groups, IPAs, PHOs, PPOs, MSOs, CVOs, utilization review organizations, etc. All classes also will benefit from a new, more flexible, rating system, the company says.

The coverage, available in all states except Alaska and Alabama, features limits up to $5 million per insured.The minimum SIR is $10,000.

Special features include available prior acts coverage and antitrust coverage. Coverage can be purchased with shared or separate limits and several other features.
