Acordia Names Van Ness Managing Director for Central, Northern Calif.

Acordia, the insurance brokerage subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co., has named Greg Van Ness managing director for all of its insurance brokerage operations in Northern and Central California, including the San Francisco Bay area.

Van Ness, an executive vice president with Acordia since 1999, oversaw Acordia’s Northern California offices in Rancho Cordova, Lodi, Grass Valley and Chico, and served on the company’s Regional Executive Committee.

For over a decade, Van Ness worked as a property/casualty insurance broker. Prior to that, he served as an Executive Development consultant for the Interpublic Group, a Fortune 100 service company in New York City.
