Safeco has announced that Tim Mikolajewski will be senior vice president of Safeco Surety.
Mikolajewski has been with Safeco Surety since 1984 and has held several management positions, including vice president of Contract Surety for the past eight years.
He will replace Mike Peters, a 38-year Safeco veteran who has announced plans to retire in May after leading Safeco Surety since 1998.
