Andreas Acker, 37, has been appointed human resources manager for California’s State Compensation Insurance Fund.
Acker started his State Fund career in 1992 when he joined the organization’s human resource department as a personnel consultant. In 1999 he was promoted to assistant human resources manager. In that role, he was responsible for classification and salary issues as well as supervision of State Fund’s hiring process. In addition to his regular assignments, he has been involved in a number of special projects including the design of programs and implementation of computer technology. Acker has been the nominated as a recipient of State Fund’s highest honors for outstanding work performance – Award for Corporate Excellence – in 1994, 1997 and 1998. He has been appointed by the City Council to serve as a member of the city of Davis, Calif., Personnel Board.
