Joseph Gonzalez has been promoted to Fresno (California) district office manager for State Compensation Insurance Fund.
Gonzalez began his State Fund career in 1977 when he was hired as an auditor for the organization’s Woodland Hills, Calif., district office. The following year, he became a safety representative. In 1983 he was promoted to Ventura district office loss control supervisor. In 1990, he joined the management ranks the district’s field services manager. In 1994, he took helm of State Fund’s Southern California group program and successfully guided the program through a period of rapid growth. In 2003 he was named human resources manager.
