May 2, 2006

Irvine, Calif.-based R.E. Chaix & Associates has named Jo Sargent to head the new personal lines department located in the company’s Irvine headquarters. Beginning immediately, Sargent will begin marketing two new admitted products: personal umbrella and comprehensive personal liability.

The market for both programs is admitted and rated “A” by A.M. Best.
The personal umbrella program will entertain limits of $1 million, $2 million, $3 million, $4 million or $5 million. According to Sargent, clients who have different carriers for auto and homeowners will enjoy a lower rate for the coverage. Coverage includes $3,000 CSL or CPL or homeowners; auto, motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs and modes are eligible. Watercraft is included with limits of $500/500/100 or $500,000 CSL. Rental units, vacant land and motor homes are also eligible for coverage.

The second new product is comprehensive personal liability. This policy may be written as a CPL or an OL&T, while duplexes, tri-plexes, four-unit buildings as well as vacation or rental homes are eligible for coverage if the property is owned by an individual. Limits on the CPL are $100,000 CSL, $300,000 CSL, up to $500,000. Medical is $1,000 per person and Personal Injury is covered except for hi-profile risks. Available in California only, however, all other residences may be located in the U.S. or its territories.

Both new products are available on the Web site www.rechaixinsurance.com. Applications can be easily downloaded. Questions should be directed to Jo Sargent at 949 428.9373 ext. 223 or e-mail: jos@rechaixinsurance.com. Phone (949) 722-4177. Fax (949) 722-4172
