Pasadena, Calif.-based Western Security Surplus Insurance Brokers Inc. (WSS) has added a new personal lines program for California brokers.
The program is written on a non-admitted basis. Both homeowner and dwelling fire risks can be written with up to $5 million total insured value. Risks with brush exposure, high protection class, poor loss history or risks that are vacant or seasonally occupied are eligible. Also included in the program is a monoline comprehensive personal liability policy with limits to $500,000. The program offers a personal article floater that will consider professional use musical instruments. Additionally, WSS can write a personal umbrella with policy limits to $5 million and an excess personal umbrella with limits to $5 million through the program. Both the personal umbrella and excess personal umbrella are written with an admitted carrier. The carrier is rated “A+” XV by A.M. Best.
