California Department of Insurance General Counsel Gary M. Cohen will leave the Department on July 13 to take a position as Deputy General Counsel of Allianz of America and Chief Counsel of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co.
Commissioner Steve Poizner said the Department will conduct a national search for a new general counsel. An interim acting General Counsel or replacement will be named upon Cohen’s departure.
