Karen Vogler of Sun Microsystems Inc. in Broomfield, Colo., has been selected as the 2007 recipient of the Lance J. Ewing RIMS and CRM Fellowship, a scholarship awarded each year at the RIMS Annual Conference & Exhibition. The fellowship, granted exclusively to RIMS members, was established to recognize the leadership and accomplishments of former RIMS President Lance J. Ewing, CRM, ARM. Ewing is vice president of risk management, for Harrah’s Entertainment Inc., 2007 Risk Manager of the Year, and a faculty member for the certified risk managers (CRM) program.
Vogler will attend the CRM Practice of Risk Management course to be held in Denver in October.
Selection of recipients for Ewing Fellowships is based on commitment to continuing education and personal growth in the field of risk management.
