San Diego-based Appalachian Underwriters Inc. has a contractors general liability market available in California through independent agents. This program is backed by an admitted,A.M. Best Co. “A”-rated carrier. The program is designed to serve residential and commercial contractors with up to $1 million and $2 million aggregate limit needs. New ventures and general contractors with 100 percent subbed-out business are eligible. There are no restrictions on work completed by subcontractors, including insured, uninsured and underinsured subs.
