Heffernan Insurance Brokers based in San Raphael, Calif., has appointed of Adam Cox as director of wellness, to implement a fitness and wellness program for all employees.
In this role, Cox will be charged with establishing a wellness curriculum and training program for all staff, including yoga, diet, exercise, smoking cessation programs, and frequent traveler exercise programs in both group, and custom one-on-one sessions. In addition, he will design specific fitness and nutrition programs for individual employees as needed, and will develop and motivate teams for competitive sporting events like triathlons, road races, running races, walks and more.
Prior to joining Heffernan Insurance Brokers, Cox was Fitness Training Director at the Claremont Resort and Spa in Berkeley, Calif. Prior to that, he was a columnist for EPIC Magazine, an outdoor adventure magazine. Cox has worked in the field of personal training and fitness since 1966.
