Farmers Group, Inc., has reached a milestone in writing commercial insurance policies in the State of Washington—it is No.1, according to the A.M. Best Co.
“Farmers has doubled its written premium in commercial multi-peril policies since 2001,” said Mhayse Samalya, president of Farmers Business Insurance. “Since 2001, our market share has also grown 3.3 points to 11.3, putting Farmers in the No.1 commercial insurance sales spot, ahead of all other insurance companies in the state. We look forward to Farmers maintaining that position for many, many years to come.”
Dave Taylor, an elite Farmers commercial agent in Shoreline, Wash., credited the carrier’s market growth to competitive prices, especially for habitational and artisan contractors coverage, a strong underwriting team knowledgeable about the needs of Washington businesses, and agent support materials that enable Farmers’ agents to quickly look up coverage for any type of business and give quotes that meet all of the needs of a particular business.
