Englewood, Colo.-based Colorado Casualty, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company, announced that president and CEO Donald E. Frette is retiring in May, following a 15-year career with the company.
Frette will be succeeded by Keith Braxton, effective March 17, 2008. Most recently, Braxton served as regional vice president for Golden Eagle Insurance, also an Agency Markets company, based in San Diego, where he was responsible for underwriting, agency management, and policy service for the company’s southern region.
Frette joined Colorado Casualty in 1993 as executive vice president and was named president and CEO in 2001. Under Mr. Frette’s leadership, Colorado Casualty has grown from a company with $30 million in direct written premium and 30 employees to an organization with more than $250 million in direct written premium and over 200 employees.
