San Jose, Calif.-based Liberty Benefit Insurance Services Inc. benefits consultant Jenny Vonderwerth has achieved California state-specific certification as a senior professional in human resources.
Awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, state-specific certification is attained by passing an examination on California human resources knowledge. Of 7,472 certified human resources professionals in California, only 113 have state-specific certification. Applicants for certification must also demonstrate a solid background of professional human resources experience in the state.
Vonderwerth has more than 20 years of corporate human resources experience, including the areas of compensation, benefits, human resource information systems and process efficiencies. Since 1998, Vonderwerth has served on the Northern California Human Resource Association’s Santa Clara Valley Chapter board and is currently the chapter’s college relations co-chairwoman. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management.
