California’s State Compensation Insurance Fund has promoted Suzanne Ah-Tye to chief counsel of the Legal Department.
Ah-Tye brings more than 25 years of State Fund legal experience to her new post. She began her State Fund career in 1981 as staff counsel with the Oakland office and rose through the ranks. Most recently, she was assistant chief counsel of subrogation at State Fund’s San Francisco headquarters.
In 2004, with major changes occurring in California workers’ compensation, Ah-Tye took a strong, proactive approach to upholding the SB 899 reforms.
