San Diego-based Cavignac & Associates has received a certificate of commendation from the U.S. Marine Corps for its recent donation of $1,000 to the San Diego Nice Guys’ Victory Fund for Operation Caregiver’s Caregiver Kits. Major General J.F. Kelly presented the certificate to Cavignac & Associates President/Principal Jeffrey Cavignac.
Operation Caregiver works with The Victory Fund and its efforts to provide aid and support to wounded marines, sailors, soldiers and their families. The program, which focuses on the needs of soldiers in Iraq, was created almost accidentally by San Diego Nice Guys member Michael “Doc” LaMar. Caregiver Kits contained 12 items, including hygiene items, bug repellent, snacks, powdered drink mix, sunblock and books.
Cavignac & Associates’ donation went toward helping to fund 250 care packages for Marines, soldiers and sailors of Regimental Combat Team 1 and I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). The forward designation denotes bases where Marine patrols are launched. Company staff members also wrote letters to the Marines, soldiers and sailors of Regimental Combat Team 1 and I Marine Expeditionary Force.
Founded in 1992, Cavignac & Associates is a risk management and commercial insurance brokerage firm.
