Rancho Cordova, Calif.-based WIAA Insurance Services, the agency arm of Western Insurance Agents Association (WIAA), appointed Michelle Baca executive sales representative.
Baca spent much of her career in business development and account management for two well-known carriers. From 1992 to 2001, she covered the Southern California territory for The Hartford, managing their commercial lines agents and brokers. In her next stint, from 2001 to 2008, Baca was responsible for Zurich’s Southwest region for its commercial lines business. Prior to her carrier-based positions, she spent the first 10 years of her career with Sedgwick James Insurance Brokerage, where she was responsible for selling and servicing small- to medium-size businesses, as well as assisting with their personal lines business.
Baca is based in San Bernardino County and will focus her attention on servicing the current member agencies writing business through WIAA Insurance Services. With an emphasis on WIAA’s long-time partner, The Hartford, Baca will be responsible for servicing, training, and overall relationship management of the company’s subproducing agencies. In addition to The Hartford, WIAA Insurance Services has appointments with CNA, Travelers, Safeco (Liberty Mutual and Golden Eagle), Zurich, Employers, AIG, ACE, BHHC, as well as other strategic partnerships.
Baca is an affiliate member of the Southern California Insurance Professionals organization and participates in a number of community activities, including fundraising for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
