MetLife Auto & Home has appointed Hemet, Calif., resident Daniel Slaten regional sales manager, to oversee the company’s growth plans in the Inland Empire, Calif., territory, including Riverside, San Bernardino and parts of Orange County.
The company also has appointed Santa Clarit resident John Sibthorp regional sales manager to build new markets in a wide geography of California including Bakersfield, Ventura and East Los Angeles County.
Both appointments are part of MetLife Auto & Home’s expansion plans in California.
Prior to joining MetLife Auto & Home, Slate was a regional sales manager for GMAC Insurance. He also held management positions with Nationwide Insurance, Brooke Financial and AIG. Slaten owned his own agency in Texas for three years, and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. as an Infantryman/Special Forces.
Sibthorp most recently was with the Alliance of Insurance Agents and Brokers. He also served as sales director for the Alliance, as a business development manager with Infinity, and as a marketing sales manager in California with Great American.
