BB&T Insurance Services of California Inc. named Mark Ruggles area president and branch manager for BB&T-Tanner Insurance Services.
Ruggles has a proven track record in agency and sales management, and brings strong communication skills to the senior appointment, said Martin Loth, president and CEO of BB&T Insurances Services of California.
Ruggles previously served as president and CEO of Venbrook Insurance Services, a private equity group-owned company with agency locations in Southern California and the Pacific Northwest. Prior to that, he served in a senior executive role for eight years with Brown and Brown in Orange County.
