Abacus Insurance Brokers, Inc., a Los Angeles-based program manager that distributes specialty insurance products online through www.abacus.net, has launched an online program that enables homeowners to reduce the deductible on their existing earthquake policy.
The earthquake deductible buyback program is available in California and allows the owner of a single family residence, duplex, triplex, or fourplex to reduce their earthquake deductible to as low as five percent. Coverage is backed by an A rated, size XV, admitted carrier.
The minimum premium is $150. The program has no age restrictions and is designed for a broad base of homeowners who own property ranging from small residences to mansions.
