Now the government is going to take over the auto insurance industry too ….So why not everyone just work for the government 100% & just hand them all of your money and the gov’t can just take care of us for every need we have. Why work anymore or save money or study in school or invest or work hard or take risk and create any new business’ or jobs. The gov’t will just take care of us all.
My feelings exactly! And it is sad, but I think it is becoming reality. With this administration, we have only seen the beginning unless someone can put a halt to this madness. But then if the government got all Pelosi’s money, that may not be a bad thing. lol
Assuming Prop 17 passes, I wonder how many of the current policyholders will drop the Low Cost Auto Program to take advantage of portable persistency with a real carrier. After all, who wants to hold on to the label of being at/below the poverty level?
Who on earth writes this stuff anyway? I would love to hear from any agent that writes it. Teeny tiny premium, no broker fees allowed, low 10% commission… You certainly can’t make a living off of those policies and still keep the lights and phones on. People selling it out of the communal spirit of helping the less fortunate?
Up 30% from practically nothing?
The limits of coverage on this program are so low that it does not resolve the uninsured / underinsured problem.
Just supported by politicians trying to justify their existence.
