Barney & Barney LLC Practice Group leader Robyn Thaw has been recognized by the San Diego Business Journal among their 2010 “Women Who Mean Business” honorees. Thaw, who heads up the Homeowners Associations Practice, was recognized for increasing the firm’s client and revenue base within the community associations sector, as well as her commitment to civic and philanthropic endeavors.
With more than 30 years of industry experience, Thaw, a director with Barney & Barney LLC, last year set up the Community Association Practice (CAP) that specializes in insurance programs for real estate and common interest developments, homeowners’ associations and planned unit developments (PUD). She was joined at the awards ceremony with colleagues and fellow nominees Arlene Lieberman and Lisa MacLarty.
Lieberman, a principal, was honored in this category in 2008 and works in the firm’s Employee Benefits division. Additionally, she is the founding chair of the Barney & Barney Foundation.
MacLarty serves as the firm’s director of communications. In the past three years, she and her all-female team have spearheaded a corporate rebrand; the firm’s multiple centennial-related events and programs, and the development of a successful RFP response system.
