GeoVera Insurance Co. has launched a residential windstorm-hurricane insurance product in Hawaii. The policy will insure residential properties against the single peril of windstorm during a hurricane. GeoVera is partnering with local independent insurance agents to offer the policy to homeowners.
GeoVera’s Windstorm-Hurricane policy will provide coverage for the dwelling, other structures, contents and loss of use (or fair rental value). They will cover homes with values up to $1 million, and will offer deductible options between 2 percent to 5 percent. Homes with wind-resistive devices may receive a credit.
GeoVera Insurance Co. provides competitively-priced residential insurance products, primarily in catastrophe-exposed geographies. In June 2010, GeoVera’s rating of A- (Excellent) was re-affirmed by A.M. Best Co.
