President Obama has signed a federal disaster declaration, ordering federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in seven Washington counties hit by severe winter weather Jan. 11-21.
The storms brought flooding, landslides and mudslides.
Federal money is available to state and eligible local governments on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of storm-damaged facilities in King, Kittitas, Klickitat, Lewis, Skagit, Skamania and Wahkiakum counties.
