Western Heritage Insurance Co., based in Scottsdale, Ariz., has appointed Anthony Washington as vice president of Underwriting. Washington will lead all underwriting operations, including the Contract and Programs teams, and will report to Mike Horsman, the company’s president.
This new role positions Washington to be the successor to President Mike Horsman upon Horsman’s retirement from Western Heritage.
Washington is an experienced insurance executive with nearly 20 years in sales and commercial underwriting. He most recently served as regional vice president of Allied Insurance, after joining Nationwide Insurance in 1999 as assistant vice president of Commercial Underwriting.
Western Heritage Insurance Co. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nationwide Insurance.
