A 29-year-old woman who was walking in the bus lane on the outskirts of Aspen, Colo. was hit and killed by a bus early Sunday.
The Aspen Times reports that the unidentified pedestrian was hit from behind by a Roaring Fork Transportation Authority bus.
Colorado State Patrol arrived on the scene on Highway 82 at about 2:30 a.m.
Authorities say the accident is under investigation and it’s unclear why the woman was walking in the bus lane or whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
