I guess the concept of deep pockets didn’t extend to the two drunks the unfortunate victim gave rides home to. Or her manager who allowed the victim to provide rides instead of sending them in cabs.
Is Oregon a dram shop state? If not, the victims mother will probably get nothing unless the restaurants had liquor liability.
If they don’t, good luck to the mother.
Oregon does have a dram shop law on the books. However, there is a strict statute of limitations of only 6 months. So, I hope the mother’s attorney filed the suit timely!

How ironic! While I grieve with the family over their loss, I also find it ludicrous to sue the restaurants.
