“According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, about 22,000 Colorado homeowners have flood insurance policies. With 2.2 million housing units in Colorado, according to Census figures, that means about 1 percent of the State’s residences have flood coverage.”
Is this saying that only 1% of the properties in this effected area had a loan tied to a federal agency??? Or are the lending institutions going to be on the hook for not reviewing their loan portfolio(s) and requiring this flood insurance coverage?
