The so-called “reforms” were just a scam & a sham by the Calderon brothers in the State Senate & State Assembly, which led to an FBI investigation. The Insurance Industry was not even invited to the table, when these bills were discussed & passed. The only true reform will be reducing the greed of attorneys.

What an enormous amount of heavy-handed BS. “Fix the QME process” bears a striking resemblance to “Fixing workers’ compensation.”

I don’t know what to make of Mitt Howell’s statement.

I know that a bad moon is rising when big labor teams up with business to produce 863 and now big labor is shoveling this at us. I predict that next, QMEs will be out. Injured workers with objective findings already are.

Unless changes are made to eliminate the insurance companies from this process nothing will change. Insurance providers do whatever they want whenever they want and can and do wait out both you and your attorney until you either die, take whatever they offer or just give up!
