    And just how much does Ms. Fineman get out of the deal? Normally I would say something like “Only in California”, but unfortunately this crapfull case is dangerously precedent-setting.

    $1.15 billion seems a bit low to sponsor lead abatement in the thousands (millions?) of home in CA that this will impact. There is a very happy law firm right now who just took a GIGANTIC cut on this frivolous and negatively precedent setting case. What happens in CA never stays in CA.

    The lead paint companies really did promote and sell lead paint long after they learned that it was poisoning and killing young children. The companies have made billions of dollars, and have not contributed to the clean-up of the mess that they made. Hopefully, this decision WILL be a precedent.
